'PAR' stands for the Partner Assault Response Program. This program provides education and counselling primarily to individuals involved in the court process. PAR operates under the definition of abuse that includes not only physical contact, but verbal and emotional abuse, intimidating behaviour, threats, destruction of property, and monitoring/harassing behaviour.

PAR is offered by community-based organizations across the province such as CRCS. PAR is a component of Ontario's Domestic Violence Court Program and is funded by the Victim & Vulnerable Persons Division of the Ministry of the Attorney General. People can attend PAR voluntarily or as part of a court order. A participant registration fee of $100.00 is payable by the first class.
